A Facial Begins on the Inside™

A Facial Begins on the Inside™

Before a single product touches your skin, Geri is already reading it. Texture, tone, temperature, bounce — every treatment starts with an assessment most clients never realize is happening. Here's what she's actually looking for, and why it matters more than the products on the shelf.

WHAT GERI LOOKS FOR

Softness and suppleness. Skin that gives easily under the fingertips is skin that's absorbing what you're feeding it — nutritionally and topically. Skin that feels tight, thin, or resistant is often skin that's been under-fed or over-stressed.

Color, bounce, and circulation. Healthy circulation shows up as even tone and quick recovery — press and release, and the color returns fast. Sluggish circulation is one of the clearest signs that something deeper needs attention before a treatment can do its job.

Smoking and vaping. Both restrict circulation at the surface. That means treatments — no matter how advanced — have a harder time absorbing and delivering results.

Temperature and irritation. If skin feels hot to the touch, that's inflammation talking. Product applied to inflamed, irritated skin doesn't penetrate the way it should — it sits on the surface instead of doing real work at the level that matters.

Nutrition. This is the piece most people don't expect. Geri will often ask what you had for dinner — not for small talk, but because it tells her a lot about what's happening in your skin right now. A well-nourished body shows up as skin in good shape. Digestive stress shows up too, and it shows up fast.

Skin that isn't getting the right nutrition simply won't absorb products the way it should. You can have the best formula and the most advanced device in the room, if the skin underneath isn't ready to receive it, the results stall.

This is why every GERI G. treatment includes an assessment, not just an application. Understanding what's happening beneath the surface is what makes the results on the surface possible.

A FEW THINGS TO EAT (AND AVOID) BETWEEN VISITS

Small shifts in what you eat can change what your skin is able to do with what we put on it.

  • Skip cow dairy. Most people lack the enzymes to break it down efficiently, and that shows up in the skin. Swap in sheep or goat dairy instead — same satisfaction, easier on digestion.
  • Add plant-based protein. Foods like fava bean tofu are excellent building blocks for skin, versatile enough for a soup, a pudding, or a simple side.
  • Listen to how food makes you feel. A heavy, "full" feeling after eating — eggs are a common culprit — is often your body signaling an intolerance, not just a coincidence.
  • One cup of spinach a day. It's an easy habit and an underrated one — most people don't realize how much nutritional value is packed into that single serving.
  • Time your protein. Your brain and body are primed for protein around midday. Keep it simple: build lunch around it.

None of this replaces a treatment plan — it supports it. Skin that's well-nourished from the inside is skin that can actually use what we give it on the outside.

THE GERI G. APPROACH

Step 1 — Understanding the Devices Which technologies are right for your skin, personalized to you — not a standard protocol applied to everyone who walks in.

Step 2 — Nutrition Planning A customized approach to what you're eating and how it's showing up in your skin, with lifestyle-focused guidance you can actually maintain.

Not one-size-fits-all. Geri takes the time to understand your lifestyle before she recommends anything. That's the difference between a facial and a plan — and it's why the results last.

GERI G. Beauty is more than a skin studio, she offers education on the treatment and what devices she will use along with nutrition suggestions which offers a personalized solution for lasting results.
